Prison Ministry

 

When someone says “prison” most people turn the other direction.  Prison ministry in reality is very rewarding.  There’s an opportunity to bring the Word of God to those who are incarcerated, whether at Westville, Indiana State Prison (ISP) or our juvenile centers.  Currently we support the LaPorte Juvenile Center twice a month (Tuesdays), and the Porter County Juvenile Center (1st Thursday) of each month.  Westville is on a rotating schedule usually one Saturday morning a month.  What is needed to help in this ministry?  A kind heart and the desire to share the Word of God, one does not need to be a theologian but that desire to help.
