CARE MINISTRY

Care Ministry operates on the premise of these words of Jesus - "Amen, I say to you, whatever you do for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me". Matt. 25: 40.

Without a doubt, this is one of the very best ways to become a part of the parish family. It is deeply personal and personally rewarding.

Care Ministry involves many things. You can become involved by offering to furnish transportation for someone to go to the doctor. You can visit a lonely shut-in, furnish a meal occasionally for a family, take Communion to the sick - at home, hospitals or nursing homes, or help a caregiver by providing an hour or two for them to get out. We say the Rosary at the nursing homes for the residents. We, also, have home Masses in the summer for the shut-ins. These are only a few examples of the things that can be done to help others.

All of these things can be fitted into our busy days; you can give one hour -- or more -- of your time as you wish.
