The Call

All are called to serve the church, and everyone has gifts to be used for the good of the community.

You may be called to one of the most beautiful ministries of the church: 

MUSIC MINISTRY

Give of your gift selflessly. The task of ministry is to serve others.  Music in the liturgy is not an end in itself.

The task of music ministers – singers, instrumentalists, and directors – is to lead, support, and enrich the assembly's sung prayer,

and to bring a special sense of celebration.

You are more than a voice or instrument. The level of your gifts may be different, but all are truly equal. 

Music Ministry is a way of living out the gospel.

The Cost

To serve in music requires a sacrifice of time.  You may have to rearrange a busy schedule.

You will need to commit yourself to rehearsals, and you will need to commit to getting to Mass a few minutes early.

The choir becomes richer because of those who sing God's praises and cooperates in the work of conversion.

The Particulars

Music Ministry involves committing yourself to rehearsals and to liturgies.  Our Sacred Heart Choir meets on

Wednesday evenings from 7:00 – until about 9:00 pm in the church.  Your music is provided to you.

Fellowship abounds!  We work hard to improve whatever talent we have, and we work together for God's glory.

Expect to enjoy rehearsal, but also expect to work hard.
